We had our hearing last night. The city planning commission granted us a conditional use permit, which means that we will be able to open our old building as a boarding and rescue facility. This is great news!
We will need the permit to take to the county for a boarding license, so a little hurdle is still left. We are also working on construction in the new building as well. We hope by summertime all will be ready for our boarders and rescue groups.
Unfortunately, the city planning commission could do nothing for the 24 hour attendant requirement. So the next step is going to the city council to review the ordinance and see how we can get it altered. So we still have to work with the city to get everything finalized.
Thank you to all who came to the hearing and all of your support.
